Abstract

ABSTRACT: This study aimed to determine whether the use of methods of Creative Problem Solving (CPS) to enhance understanding of the concepts of physics students in class XI IA SMA Negeri 2 Sinjai the academic year 2015/2016. This research is a class act. The research was conducted at SMAN 2 Sinjai the academic year 2015/2016 class XI IA2 amounting to 24 students. Data retrieval is done to test understanding of the concept of physics at the end of the cycle. From the data gathered are then analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results arrived at after analysis, namely: (1) in the first cycle, the average score of students learning outcomes physics 59.94 with a standard deviation of 10.76 (2) in the second cycle the average score was 74.22 with the learning outcomes standard deviation of 8.90. The study of students by using creative problem solving (CPS) has increased from the first cycle to the second cycle, as well as the upgrading of the physics concepts on the assessment of affective learner in the first cycle is at sufficient criteria, and then increased in the second cycle be the criteria good. Based on the analysis of the results of this research can be concluded that the ability of understanding the concepts of physics students of class XI SMA Negeri 2 Sinjai IA2 can be enhanced through the use of creative methods problrm solving (CPS). Keywords :Creative Problem Solving ( CPS ) , and the understanding of physics concepts ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan metode Creative Problem Solving (CPS) dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep fisika peserta didik kelas XI IA di SMA Negeri 2 Sinjai tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 2 Sinjai tahun ajaran 2015/2016 kelas XI IA2 yang berjumlah 24 siswa. Pengambilan data di lakukan dengan tes pemahaman konsep fisika pada akhir siklus. Dari data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian yang dicapai setelah dianalisis yaitu : (1) pada siklus I, skor rata-rata hasil belajar fisika peserta didik 59,94 dengan standar deviasi 10,76 (2) pada siklus II skor rata-rata hasil belajar adalah 74,22 dengan standar deviasi 8,90. Hasil belajar peserta didik dengan menggunakan metode creative problem solving (CPS) mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II, demikian pula dengan peningkatan kemampuan konsep fisika pada penilaian afektif peserta didik pada siklus I berada pada kriteria cukup, dan kemudian meningkat pada siklus II menjadi kriteria baik. Berdasarkan analisis hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep fisika peserta didik kelas XI IA2 SMA Negeri 2 Sinjai dapat ditingkatkan melalui penggunaan metode creative problrm solving (CPS).
