AP Pettarani Makassar, 90222 ABSTRAK Status identitas ego adalah kesadaran individu untuk menempatkan diri dan memberi arti pada dirinya sebagai seorang pribadi yang unik, memiliki keyakinan yang relatif stabil, serta memiliki peran penting dalam konteks kehidupan bermasyarakat. Perbedaan status identitas ego dapat dipengaruhi oleh perilaku merokok. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan status identitas ego pada perempuan perokok. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 48 mahasiswa perempuan yang aktif merokok di Makassar. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan skala status identitas ego dan angket perilaku merokok, serta dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Chi Square. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai koefisien sebesar 4.147 dengan nilai signifikansi 0.386 > 0,005, sehingga dapat dinyatakan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan status identitas ego pada perempuan perokok. Artinya, status identitas ego tidak dapat dijadikan prediktor bahwa semakin tinggi status identitas ego perempuan perokok maka jumlah rokok yang dihisap semakin kurang. Penelitian ini dapat dijadikan masukan yang penting untuk lebih memahami status identitas diri pada perempuan perokok. Kata Kunci: Status Identitas ego, perilaku merokok, perempuan perokok. Pettarani, Makassar, 90222 ABSTRACT The ego identity status is the individual's consciousness to position himself and give meaning to himself as a unique person, has a relatively stable belief, and has an important role in the context of community life. Differences in ego identity status can be influenced by smoking behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in ego identity status in women smokers. Subjects in this study were as many as 48 female students who actively smoked in Makassar. Data collection was done by using ego identity status scale and questionnaire of smoking behavior, and analyzed by using Chi Square test. The results of the analysis show the coefficient value of 4,147 with a significance value of 0,386> 0,005, so it can be stated that there is no difference in ego identity status in women smokers. That is, ego identity status can not be a predictor that the higher the identity status of female smokers ego the number of cigarettes smoked less and less. This research can be an important input to better understand the status of self-identity in women smokers. Kata Kunci: Status Identitas ego, perilaku merokok, perempuan perokok.
