Abstract

Analysis of Student Motivation in Participating in Extracurricular Activities of Pencak Silat Achievement at Buq'atun Mubarakah Junior High School, Makassar City. This research is a type of quantitative research. The variable in this research is motivation. The population in this study were all pencak silat extracurricular students at the Buq'atun Mubarakah Middle School, Makassar City. The data collection technique used is to use a motivational questionnaire. The method used in this study is descriptive data analysis, namely, by describing the percentage of student motivation. Based on the results of analysis of research data that indicators of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation contribute to influencing students in participating in pencak silat extracurricular activities at Buq'atun Mubarakah Middle School, Makassar City, namely indicators physical 13%, interest indicator 13%, talent indicator 12%, motive indicator 13%, environment indicator 12%, family indicator 12%, facility and infrastructure indicator 12%, coach indicator 13%.
