Abstract
This study aims to find out more about the implementation of the reading interest program in developing the student literacy movement, and to determine the effect of students' interest in reading with the literacy movement program implemented at the Pandang- Pandang Inpres Elementary School. The data obtained came from interviews with several informants. This study uses a qualitative method. The findings in this study indicate that (1) the student's interest in reading program through the implementation of the literacy movement at SD Inpres Pandang- Pandang has been implemented, but not optimally, and (2) as a form of library optimization, schools are still trying to create comfortable library conditions.
