Abstract

ABSTRACT Rini Rahim, 2019. Efficiency of Working Capital Management at a Regional Water Supply Company (PDAM) Tirta Jeneberang, Gowa Regency. Essay. Faculty of Economics, Makassar State University. Guided by Prof. Dr. Chalid Imran Musa, M.Sc and Muh. Ichwan Musa, SE., M.Sc. This study aims to determine the efficiency of working capital management and the efficient use of working capital in the Regional Water Supply Company (PDAM) Tirta Jeneberang, Gowa Regency through activity ratio analysis and profitability ratios. The population in this study are financial statements, namely the balance sheet and income statement. While the samples taken in this study are financial statements for 2014 to 2017 at the Regional Water Supply Company (PDAM) Tirta Jeneberang, Gowa Regency. This type of research is quantitative. Data collection techniques used in this study are documentation and data analysis techniques used in this study are activity ratio analysis and profitability ratios. The results of this study indicate that the management of working capital in the Regional Water Supply Company (PDAM) of Tirta Jeneberang in Gowa Regency in 2014 until 2017 is correct. But the use of working capital in the activity ratio and profitability ratios from 2014 to 2017 is not efficient because the results obtained are below the standard of assessment due to not being able to manage working capital properly to make a profit.
