Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen yang melibatkan dua kelompok yang diberi perlakuan yang berbeda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui(1) hasilbelajarmatematikasebelumdansesudahdiajardenganmetode gallery walkpadasiswakelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Patampanua, (2) hasilbelajarmatematikasebelumdansesudahdiajardenganmetode quick on the drawpadasiswakelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Patampanua,(3) responsiswasetelahdiajardenganmetodegallery walkpadakelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Patampanua, (4) responsiswasetelahdiajardenganmetodequick on the drawpadakelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Patampanua, (5) aktivitassiswaselamadiajardenganmetodegallery walkpadakelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Patampanua, (6) aktivitassiswaselamadiajardenganmetodegallery walkpadakelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Patampanua, dan (7) peningkatanhasilbelajarmatematikasiswa yang diajardenganmetodegallery walk lebihbaikdiandingkanpeningkatanhasilbelajarmatematikasiswa yang diajardenganmetodequick on the drawpadakelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Patampanua.Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri Negeri 1 Patampanuapada semester ganjil 2015/2016 dan dipilih 2 kelas secara purposivesebagai kelas eksperimen penelitian. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik statistika deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil yang diperoleh dari analisis statistika deskriptif adalah sebagai berikut: (1) hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan metode gallery walkmempunyai rata-rata 85,49 dengan standar deviasi 7,30 dari skor ideal 100, (2) hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan metode quick on the drawmempunyai rata-rata 80,07 dengan standar deviasi 7,76 dari skor ideal 100, (3) rata-rata peningkatanhasilbelajarmatematikasiswa yang diajardenganmetodegallery walk beradapadakategoritinggidenganskor 0,82dengansatndardeviasi0,08, dan(4) rata-rata peningkatanhasilbelajarmatematikasiswa yang diajardenganmetodequick on the draw beradapadakategoritinggidenganskor 0,78dengansatndardeviasi0,08. Hasil analisis statistika inferensial diperoleh bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara penerapanmetode gallery walk dan metode quick on the draw. Peningkatanhasilbelajarmatematikasiswa yang diajarmenggunakanmetodegallery walk lebihbaikdibandingkanpeningkatanhasilbelajarmatematikasiswa yang diajardenganmetodequick on the draw. Objectives of the research were to know (1) The students’ mathematics learning outcomes before and after taught using gallery walk method in SMP Negeri 1 Patampanua grade VIII, (2) The students’ mathematics learning outcome before and after taught using quick on the draw methodin SMP Negeri 1 Patampanua grade VIII, (3) The students’ response after taught using gallery walk methodin SMP Negeri 1 Patampanua grade VIII, (4) The students’ response after taught using gallery quick on the drawin SMP Negeri 1 Patampanua grade VIII, (5) The students’ activity after taught using gallery walk methodin SMP Negeri 1 Patampanua grade VIII(6) The students’ activity after taught using quick on the draw methodin SMP Negeri 1 Patampanua grade VIII, and (7) The student mathematics learning outcomes that are taught using gallery walk method is better than students mathematics learning outcome that are taught using quick on the draw methodin SMP Negeri 1 Patampanua grade VIII. The research population was class VIII SMP Negeri1 Patampanua in odd semester 2015/2016 and 2 classes selected by purposive technique as experimental classes. Technique of data analysis was done by using descriptive and inferential statistics. The result is obtained from the analysis of descriptive statistics are as follows: (1) Students’ mathematics learning outcome thatare taught using gallery walk methodhas an average of 85,49with a standard deviation of 7,30 from100 ideal score (2) Students’ mathematics learning outcome thatare taught using quick on the draw method has an average of 80,07 with standard deviation of 7,76 from 100 ideal score, (3) Average score of students’ mathematics learning outcome improvement that are taught using gallery walk method is 0,82 with standard deviation 0,08, and (4) Average score of students’ mathematics learning outcome improvement that are taught using quick on the draw method is 0,78 with standard deviation 0,08. The result of inferential statistical analysis shows that there are significant differences between implementation of gallery walk method and quick on the draw method. We obtain that the implementation of gallery walk method is better to improve students mathematics learning outcome than the implementation of quick on the draw.
