Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitianinibertujuanuntukmengetahui pengaruh teknik mind mappingdan kemampuan awal pada model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap kemampuan berpikirkritispeserta didikkelas XSMA Negeri 1 Pitu Riawa pada materi reaksi Oksidasi-Reduksi.JenispenelitianadalaheksperimensemudenganmenggunakandesainFaktorial 2x3.Populasipenelitianadalah peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Pitu Riawa semester genap tahun ajaran 2015/2016 yang terdiri dari 5 kelas dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 136.Pengambilansampeldilakukandengansimple random sampling dankelas yang terpilihadalahkelas XA dan XB.Hasil analsis statistik deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang diajar dengan teknik mind mapping dan non mindmapping masing-masing 79,76 (SD = 8,61) dan 75,28 (SD = 8,74). Rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang berkemampuan awal tinggi, sedang, dan rendah berturut-turut yaitu 89,12 (SD = 5,79); 79,34 (SD = 5,49); dan 68,23 (SD = 5,30). Pengujianhipotesisdilakukandengan program SPSS 20menggunakananalisisTwo Way Anova. Hasilpenelitianinimenunjukkanbahwa (1) Ada pengaruh teknik mind mapping pada model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap kemampuan berpikirkritispeserta didikkelas XSMA Negeri 1 Pitu Riawa pada materi reaksi oksidasi-reduksi, (2)ada pengaruh kemampuan awal pada model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap kemampuan berpikirkritispeserta didikkelas XSMA Negeri 1 Pitu Riawa pada materi reaksi oksidasi-reduksi, (3) Tidakadainteraksiantara teknik mind mappingdan kemampuan awal pada model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dalammempengaruhi kemampuan berpikirkritispeserta didikkelas XSMA Negeri 1 Pitu Riawa pada materi reaksi oksidasi-reduksi.Rata-rata kemampuan berpikirkritispesertadidik yang diajardenganmenggunakan teknik mind mappinglebihtinggidaripada yang diajar tanpa menggunakan teknik mind mapping.Hasil uji Tukey HSD menunjukkan bahwa pesertadidik yang berkemampuan awal tinggi, sedang, dan rendah memiliki rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis yang berbeda. Kata Kunci: teknik mind mapping, kemampuan awal, kemampuan berpikirkritis ABSTRACT The Aim of this research is to know the effect of the mind mappingtechnique and prior knowledge in guided inquiry learning model on critical thinking ability of X grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Pitu Riawa on oxydation-reduction reaction topic. The type of research is quasi experiment by using a 2x3 factorial design. The research population were students in class X SMA Negeri 1 Pitu Riawa second semester of the 2015/2016academic year consist of five classes with the number learning of learniers as much as 136. Sampling was done by simple random sampling and selected class is class XA and XB. The results of the analysis of descriptive statistic indicate that the mean score of critical thinking ability students who are taught mind mapping and non mind mapping technique are 79.76 (SD = 8.61) and 75.28 (SD = 8.74). on the mean score of critical thinking ability of learners with capability of high, medium, and low separately are 89.12 (SD = 5.79); 79.34 (SD = 5.49); and 68.23 (SD = 5.30). Hypothesis testing is done with SPSS 20 Program using Two Way Anova Analysis.The results of this research indicated that (1) There is an effect of mind mappingtechnique on guided inquiry learning model toward critical thinking ability of students in class X SMA Negeri 1 Pitu Riawa on oxydation-reductionreaction topic, (2) There is an effect of prior knowledge on guided inquiry learning model toward critical thinking ability of students in class X SMA Negeri 1 Pitu Riawa on oxydation-reduction reaction topic, (3) There is no an interaction between the mind mapping model and prior knowledge on guided inquiry learning model in effected the critical thinking ability of students in class X SMA Negeri 1 Pitu Riawa on oxydation-reduction reaction topic. The mean score of critical thinking ability students who are taught using mind mapping technique higher than them who were taught without using mind mapping technique. Tukey HSD test result showed student who have high, medium, and low prior knowledge have the critical thinking ability are different.
