Abstract

This study was conducted to determine whether rewards and organizational commitment affect employee work discipline. The sample used in this study amounted to 68 employees at PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 North Makassar. Then the data collection techniques carried out in this study used the methods of observation, interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression using Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) V.25. The results of this study indicate that partially the reward variable (X1) has a positive and significant effect on employee work discipline in accordance with the significance test carried out by the t-test and obtained t-count > t-table (2.062 > 1.997) sig. of 0.043 <0.05 so that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted, Organizational Commitment (X2) has a positive and significant effect on employee work discipline according to the significance test carried out by t-test and obtained t-count > t-table (2.301 > 1.997) sig. 0.025 <0.05 so Ho is rejected and H2 is accepted. Organizational Commitment variable is more influential than Reward variable. Then simultaneously the two independent variables Reward (X1) and Organizational Commitment (X2) have a significant positive effect on Work Discipline (Y) according to the significance test carried out by the F test and obtained F-count > F-table (7.378 > 3.3136) sig. of 0.001 <0.05 so that Ho is rejected and H3 is accepted.
