Abstract
Abstract: This study is an ex post facto research which aims to discover whether there is a correlation between creative thinking skills and physics learning outcomes based on learning styles of grade X MIA students at SMAN 2 Pangkep. The independent variable in this study is the creative thinking skills in physics and learning styles, while the dependent variable is the physics learning outcomes in grade X physics learning materials in the first semester. The population of the study were all students of grade X MIA at SMAN 2 Pangkep with 4 classes, while the sample used was random sampling and obtained 90 students. The research data were obtained by providing a learning style questionnaire, a creative thinking skills test in a form of an essay, and physics learning outcomes in a form of multiple choices. The data analysis technique employed correlation analysis (Spearman rank). Based on the results of inferential statistical analysis, it is obtained r = 0.217 for students who have a visual learning style, r = 0.222 for students who have an auditory learning style, and r = 0.348 for students who have a kinaesthetic learning style. Therefore, the conclusion of the study is the creative thinking skills and physics learning outcomes based on learning styles of grade X MIA at SMAN 2 Pangkep have low correlation with positive and unidirectional correlation coefficients. Keywords: creative thinking skills, learning styles, physics learning outcomes
