Abstract

Relationship between Communication Skills, Learning Activities and Physics Learning Outcomes in High School.Thesis.Department of Physics, Postgraduate Program in Physics Education. Makassar State University (supervised by Muhammad Arsyad and Pariabti Palloan). This research is an ex-post facto study which aims to determine the relationship between communication skills and physics learning outcomes, the relationship between learning activities and physics learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 3 Wajo and the relationship between two independent variables together on physics learning outcomes. The data collection tool used non-test instruments in the form of observation sheets to measure learning activity variables. The intended learning activity is the total score obtained based on the type of activity observed, namely, visual activity, oral activity and writing activity. Meanwhile, to measure communication skills and learning outcomes physics used a test instrument in the form of multiple choice objective test. The communication skills test meant is the number of scores obtained by students in interpreting graphs and physics learning outcomes, namely the test scores obtained from the results of learning physics tests in the cognitive domain. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis showed that the score of communication skills was in the medium category, the learning activities were in the medium category and the physics learning outcomes of class X MIPA SMA Negeri 3 Wajo were in the medium category. The results showed that communication skills had a significant relationship with physics learning outcomes with a value of r = 0.60, learning activities had a significant relationship with physics learning outcomes with a value of r = 0.36 and the relationship between the three variables together had a relationship. which is significant with an r value of 0.70 Keywords:communication skills, learning activities, physics learning outcomes.
