Abstract
The study is descriptive ressearch with qualitative approach, which aims at describing problem solving procss of Mathematic of the students based on the learning habits of grade VIII students at SMPN 2 Bulupoddo. The learning habits being examined are good learning and poor learning habits; whereas, the mathematics questions are numeral pattern material and counting the triangle. The site of research was at SMPN 2 Bulupoddo and the the research subjects were grade VIII students with the total of 2 students. The research subjects were representative of two categories, namely (1) good learning habitsand (2) poor learning habits. The research instruments were athematics problem test, interview guidance, and instrument of learning habits. The result of the study that in solving the problem given: (1) the SKB subject with good learning habits was able to solve the problem well, shown by good response in pronlem solving process and good result bsed o the process and Mathematics problem solving stages,(2) the SKBU subject with poor learning habits gave dissatisfactory response and results,shown by Mathematics problem solving process being given. Based on the fieldobservation,the subject who was not able to solve Mathematics problem being was the one with poor learning habits. Keywords: process, problem solving, learning habits.
