Abstract

ABSTRAK WIRDA FAUZAH YUSUF. 2012. Perbandingan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe The Power of Two dengan tipe Make a Match dalam Pembelajaran Segitiga Siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Makassar. (Dibimbing oleh ketua Prof. Dr. Suradi Tahmir, MS. dan Dr. Abdul Rahman, M.Pd) Pembelajaran ini bertujuan untuk : (1) mengetahui seberapa besar hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Power of Two maupun model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match, (2) mengetahui aktivitas siwa, dan respons siswa selama pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Power of Two maupun model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match, (3) menganalisis apakah terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar matematika setelah diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Power of Two lebih baik daripada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen yang melibatkan dua kelas, yaitu satu kelas eksperimen 1 dan satu kelas eksperimen 2. Kelas eksperimen 1 diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Power of Two dan kelas eksperimen 2 diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match. Unit eksperimen penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Makassar yang terdiri dari dua kelas yang dipilih secara acak. Kelas VII2 sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 dan kelas VII3 sebagai kelas eksperimen 2. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan tes hasil belajar, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, dan lembar observasi respons siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) pada kelas yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Power of Two , 87,50% siswa mencapai KKM dengan nilai rata-rata 74,28 dari nilai ideal 100 dengan standar deviasi 7,934, siswa aktif dalam pembelajaran, dan siswa merespons positif selama pembelajaran, (2) pada kelas yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match 97,50% siswa mencapai KKM dengan nilai rata-rata 72,55 dari nilai ideal 100 dengan standar deviasi 6,267, siswa aktif dalam pembelajaran, dan siswa merespons positif selama pembelajaran, (3) terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar matematika setelah diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Power of Two maupun model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match, (4) tidak terdapat perbedaan peningkatan hasil belajar matematika setelah diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Power of Two maupun model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match. Comparison of Cooperative Learning Model between The Power of Two Type and Make a Match Type in Triangle Subject to Grade VII Students at SMPN 1 Makassar (supervised by Suradi Tahmir and Abdul Rahman). The study aimed at (1) examining the students outcome in learning mathematics who were taught by Make a Match type, (2) examining students activity and response during the learning by applying cooperative learning model of The Power of Two type as well as the Make a Match type, (3) analyzing whether there was improvement of students outcome in learning mathematics who were taught by cooperative learning model of The Power of Two type was better than Make a Match type. This study was an experiment research which involved two classes, on of the experiment class 1 and one of the experiment class 2. The experiment class 1 was taught by The Power of Two type and the experimen class 2 was taught by Make a Match type. The experiment unit of the study was grade VII students at SMPN 1 Makassar consisted of two classes which was selected randomly. Grade VII2 was an experiment class 1 and grade VII3 was an experiment class 2. Data were collected by employing learning test, observation sheet of students activity, and observation sheets of students response. The study revealed that (1) class taught by cooperative learning model with of the Power of Two type, 87.50% students achieved KKM with the average 74.28 from the ideal score of 100 by the standard deviation 7.934, students were active in learning and students gave positive response during the learning, (2) class taught by cooperative learning model with of Make a Match type, 97.50% students achieved KKM with the average 72.55 from the ideal score of 100 by the standard of deviation 6.267, students were active in learning and students gave positive response during the learning, (3) there was improvement of mathematics learning outcome after being taught by cooperative learning model of The Power of Two type as well as Make a Match type, and (4) there was no difference on the improvement of mathematics learning outcome after being taught by cooperative learning model of The Power of Two type and Make a Match type.
