Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to obtain a description of the difficulties of certified teachers in implementing mathematics learning in accordance with the 2013 curriculum. The implementation of mathematics learning includes planning, implementation and assessment. This research is a qualitative research. The main instruments in this study were the researchers themselves and the supporting instruments were the RPP review sheet, observation sheets and interview guidelines. The subject of this study consisted of 2 (two) people who were certified teachers of mathematics subjects at SMP Negeri 26 Makassar. The results showed that (1) the difficulty of certified teachers in planning learning was the difficulty in choosing operational verbs, describing indicators according to predetermined basic competencies, and designing the application of models, approaches and learning methods; (2) The difficulty of certified teachers in implementing mathematics learning based on the 2013 curriculum is the difficulty in applying models, approaches and methods of learning that have been planned, utilizing learning resources and media and triggering the activeness of students in the learning process; (3) The difficulty of certified teachers in carrying out assessments of mathematics learning based on the 2013 curriculum is the difficulty in applying attitudes and skills assessments, and following up on assessments according to the 2013 curriculum.
