Abstract

This research aimed to find out 1) the quality of ground water in Bulurokeng Village, Biringkanaya District, Makassar City. 2) whether the ground water in Bulurokeng Sub-district, Biringkanaya District, Makassar City was suitable for the need for clean water. 3), and how to determine groundwater quality used the Storet Method in Bulurokeng Village, Biringkanaya District, Makassar City. This research applied descriptive qualitative method. The population in this research was shallow ground water or dug wells that are used by the community as a source of clean water, groundwater sampling is done in 5 dug wells. The analysis of the data used Storet Method. Based on the measurement and analysis result of well water samples it was known that the well water in Bulurokeng sub-district Biringkanaya District Makassar City is fit to be used as clean water because the water is only lightly polluted which means it could be used for daily needs except for consumption . Used Storet Method shows that the level of well water pollution in Bulurokeng Sub-District, BIringkanaya District, Makassar City is classified as a Class B (Light Polluted) category with water conditions that are not bad for clean water quality
