Abstract
ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the difference on (1) the ability of solving the chemical problems and scientific performance; (2) the ability of solving chemical problems; (3) the ability of the scientific performance, among students learned by problem based learning and learned by inquiry learning models in class science XI at SMA Negeri 1 Pitu Riawa Kab. Sidenreng Rappang. This is a quasi-experiment research that uses a 1x2 factorial design. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. Hypothesis testing is done by using MANOVA analysis. The result show that (1) there are differences in the chemical problem solving and scientific performance abilities between students who are learned by problem-based learning model and learned by inquiry learning model; (2) there is no difference between the chemical problem solving ability of students learned by problem-based learning model and learned by inquiry learning model; (3) there are differences in the ability of the scientific performance of students learned by problem-based learning model and learned by inquiry learning model in class science XI at SMA Negeri 1 Pitu Riawa Kab. Sidenreng Rappang.
