Abstract
Indonesia’s marine waters have a very high diversity of marine biota and can be useful to human life. One of the calculated marine biota is black sea cucumber Holothuria edulis). Holothuria edulis contains bioactive compounds that have many benefits. The purpose of this research was to determine the content of bioactive compounds of black sea cucumber extract. Extraction of samples was carried out by maceration using methanol solvents. The extracts obtained later were carried out phytochemical test. The yield of sea cucumber extract obtained as much 14,99 gram and some bioactive compounds in the form of flavonoids, riterpenoids, saponins. The conclusion of this study is that there are three types of active compounds that react positively in phytochemical test namely flavonoids, triterpenoids, saponins.
