Abstract

THE EFFECT OF INFLATION LEVELS ON STOCK PRICE AT PHARMACEUTICAL SUB-SECTOR COMPANIES REGISTERED AT INDONESIAN STOCK EXCHANGE Program Studi Akuntansi Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Makassar Jl. Pettarani Kampus Gunung Sari Baru, Makassar Email : silmantrimega@yahoo.com ABSTRACK The study aims to determine the effect of inflation on stock price at pharmaceutical sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) for the period 2014 to 2018. The population in this study is the stock price of all pharmaceutical companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange ( IDX), while the sample is pharmaceutical company that meets the criteria for determining the sample using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection uses the documentation method. The data collected were processed by using simple linear regression test, correlation test and t-test.The results of regression equation between the inflation rate and stock price show Y = 3922,365-4,758X .The results of the correlation coefficient analysis show the value of R is 0.442, and the value of R Square is 0.196 or 19.6 percent which means that the effect of the inflation rate on stock prices is 19.6 percent and the remaining 80.4 percent is another factor beyond the factors examined in this study.Hypothesis test results (t-test indicates that the level of inflation has a significant effect on stock prices. so the hypothesis is proposed that there is a significant effect between the Inflation Rate on Stock Prices in pharmaceutical sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange "accepted".
