Abstract

The aims of this study (1) To find out the motivation and learning outcomes of students through the implementation of structured inquiry learning models in the Fungi material at MA DDI Kanang, (2) To find out the motivation and learning outcomes of students through applying the guided inquiry learning model to the Fungi material in the MA DDI Kanang, and (3) To find out the differences in motivation and student learning outcomes through the application of a structured inquiry model with guided inquiry models on the Fungi material at MA DDI Kanang. This research method uses quasiexperimental research using Pretest-Posttest Comparison Group Design. The research sample was chosen randomly (random sampling) so that two classes were obtained, namely class X MIA 1 as Structured Inquiry class and class X MIA 2 as experimental class 2 with Guided Inquiry learning model. The instrument used in this study was a test instrument in the form of multiple choice questions and a learning motivation questionnaire. Before using the questions and questionnaire motivation experiment 1 with the learning model first validation. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of this study indicate (1) The score of learning motivation of group students whose application of learning models using structured inquiry is 69, 52 while the score of learning outcomes is 57.86 in class X fungi material with a sample of 21 people. (2) The learning motivation of group students applying the model using guided inquiry learning is 75.05 while the learning outcomes score is 66.57 on class X fungi material with a sample of 21 people. (3) There are differences in motivation and student learning outcomes through the application of guided inquiry and structured inquiry proven by the t-test of significance values <0.05 which means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.
