Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aimed: (1) to study the influence of students’ learning independence and teacher teaching skill partially towards students’ learning outcomes on students in class XI students the program of accounting and financial expertise at SMK Negeri 1 Mamuju, (2) to study the influence of students’ learning independence and teacher teaching skill simultaneously towards students’ learning outcomes on students in class XI students the program of accounting and financial expertise at SMK Negeri 1 Mamuju, and (3) to study the independent variable that had dominant influence on students’ learning outcomes on students in class XI students the program of accounting and financial expertise at SMK Negeri 1 Mamuju. Variable on this research was students’ learning i ndependence as a first independent variable (X1), teacher teaching skill as a second independent variable (X2), and students’ learning outcomes as a dependent variable (Y). All the students of XI class the program of accounting and financial expertise at SMK Negeri 1 Mamuju, and 65 students were included as the sample using a saturated sample technique so the sample use as many populations. The data were collected through questionnaires and documentation was analyzed using percentage descriptive analysis, classic assumption test, test instruments, and hypothesis test. The result of this research showed that students’ learning independence and teachers’ teaching skills partially influential significant towards students’ learning outcomes with the level of si gnificance was <0,05. Students’ learning independence and teachers’ teaching skills simultaneously influential significant towards students’ learning outcomes with the level of significance was <0,05. Moreover coefficient of determination (R2) was 0,532 (53,2%). It means that the influence of students’ learning independence (X1) and teacher teaching skill (X2) towards learning outcomes (Y) was 53,2% while the rest 46,8% influenced by other factors was not examined and the teachers’ teaching skills are dominantly influential towards students’ learning outcomes with the coefficient of determination was 0,309 or 30,9%.
