Abstract
ABSTRACK , 2019. Effects of Work Discipline and Work Environment on Employee Performance at the Makassar VII Regional Forest Area Consolidation Center. Thesis of the Faculty of Economics, Makassar State University. Supervised by Dr. Agung Widhi Kurniawan, ST., M.M and Uhud Darmawan Natsir, SE., M.M This study aims to determine the Effect of Work Discipline and Work Environment on Employee Performance at the Makassar VII Regional Forest Consolidation Center. The sample size was 63 civil servants (PNS) using a saturated sampling technique in which all civil servants in February 2019 were sampled. Data collection is done by interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis using the IMB Statistics computer program for Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 21. The results of this study indicate that the work discipline variables partially have a positive but not significant effect on employee performance and the work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneously the discipline and work environment have a positive and not significant effect on employee performance. Based on the determination coefficient value of 0.316 which indicates that the ability of the independent variable to predict the dependent variable is 31.6%, it means that 68.4% of employee performance is influenced by other factors not examined by the author.
