Abstract

Abstract: Rapid advancement in computer technology has strongly been influencing education in a larger extent. ln the teaching of English as a second/foreign language, the use of multimedia computers has increasingly been popping up. This article highlights some issues of computer use in language education. The main points of discussion will concern about computer assited language learning (CALL) and online learning programs via internet. The use of ICT in education needs high commitment from all related parties. In relation to the lnternet use, it is no doubt that it has significant implications for both teaching and learning. The Internet and its use in EFL classes show immense potential. Therefore, teachers are strongly encouraged to make use of the Internet in their English classes.
