The transcriptions were analyzed and discussed based on the theory of direct questions of Miller (2016), theory of psychological traits of Gordon Allport (1936). The findings of the research showed that the kinds of direct questions mostly used by the lecturers were divergent question to help the students to think and to get the students’ attention. Besides that, direct questions gave the impact on the students’ psychological aspect in which the students felt free to give their opinion related to the instruction and students’ anxiety decreased in the classroom so that they have high motivation to interact with the lecturer, the students get a challenge to answer and help the students to think.
