Abstract
Abstract: This study aims at examining (1) the stages of training model for fashion making patterns using CAD (Computer Aided Design) System to improve teachers’ competencies at SMK Majoring in Fashion, (2) the training model for fashion making patterns using CAD System developed has met the criteria of valid, practical, and effective.The study employed development research (R&D) adapted ADDIE development model and the training program design referred to participative model. The research subjects were 15 teachers of SMK Majoring in Fashion in Gowa District. The results of the study reveral that (1) the development of training model for fashion making patterns used CAD System to improve teachers’ competence at of SMK Majoring in Fashion wich referred to: (a) analysis, wich analyzed the performance and the needs to determine problems and solutions in implementing training model for fashion making patterns using CAD System, (b) design, wich designed the training using participative training model, (c) development, wich developed the training products wich had been validated by the experts and product revision, (d) implementation, wich implemented the training model for fashion making patterns using CAD System, (e) evaluation, wich conducted the formative evaluation and summative evaluation; 2) the product of training model for fashion making patterns used CAD System wich had met valid criteria were the training module books, model book, manual book, jobsheets and training instrument. The training model for fashion making patterns used CAD System was stated as effective to be applied based on observation of part participants' activities and the learning outcomes of the training were improved. The training model for fashion making patterns used CAD System was stated as practical based on the results of the participants' responses wich was in very good category and the responses of facilitators were in very good category as well. Thus, it is suggested that the training model for fashion making patterns used CAD System can be applied in the training because it has met the requirements of validity, effectiveness and practical.
