Abstract

ABSTRAK ARMAN. Manajenen Konflik Dikalangan Guru SMA Negeri 1 Majene. (Dibimbing oleh Alimuddin Mahmud dan Jumadi Tangko). Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi keingintahuan bagaimana teknik penanganan konflik yang dilakukan oleh guru dalam mengatasi konflik yang terjadi dikalangan guru SMA Negeri 1 Majene. Oleh karena itu, rumusan masalah penelitian adalah (1) bagaimanakah bentuk konflik yang terjadi dikalangan guru SMA Negeri 1 Majene, (2) factor-faktor apa yang menyebabkan terjadinya konflik dikalangan guru SMA Negeri 1 Majene (3) bagaimana dampak konflik dikalangan guru SMA Negeri 1 Majene, (4) bagaimanakah penanganan konflik dikalangan guru SMANegeri 1 Majene. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui (1) Bentuk konflik yang terjadi dikalangan guru SMA Negeri 1 Majene, (2) faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya konflik dikalangan guru SMA Negeri 1 Majene, (3) dampak konflik dikalangan guru SMA Negeri 1 Majene, dan (4) penanganan konflik dikalangan guru SMA Negeri 1 Majene. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan rancangan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Dalam proses penelitian ini peneliti mencoba memahami fenomena tentang apa yang dialami oleh subyek penelitian, misalnya perilaku, persepsi, motivasi, tindakan dan fenomena lainnya, yang secara holistic dan dengan cara deskripsi dalam bentuk kata-kata dan bahasa pada suatu konteks khusus yang alamiah dan dengan memanfaatkan berbagai metode ilmiah. Sumber data diperoleh dari beberapa informan antara lain, enam orang guru SMA Negeri 1 Majene sebagai informasi untuk data primer dan tiga orang siswa sebagai informan untuk data sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) bentuk konflik yang terjadi dikalangan guru SMA Negeri 1 Majene adalah konflik antar pribadi dan konflik antar pribadi dengan kelompok, (2) faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya konflik dikalangan guru, adalah factor internal dan eksternal, (3) dampak konflik yang terjadi adalah adanya dampak positif dan negatif yang terjadi pada warga sekolah dan sekolah itu sendiri, (4) penanganan konflik yang dilakukan dalam menangani konflik yang terjadi dikalangan guru belum sepenuhnya dilakukan dengan baik dan efektif, baik menurut guru maupun kepala sekolah. The background of the study was the curiosity on how teachers conducted conflict management in overcoming the conflict among teachers at SMAN 1 in Majene. Thus, the problem statements of the study were (1) what are the form of conflicts among the teacher at SMAN 1 in Majene? (2) what factors led to conflict among the teachers at SMAN 1 in Majene? (3) what are the impact of conflict among the teachers at SMAN 1 in Majene, (4) how to handle conflicts among the teachers at SMAN 1 in Majene? This study aimed at examining (1) the form of conflicts among the teachers at SMAN 1in Majene, (2) factors which the caused the conflicts among the teachers at SMAN 1 in Majene, (3) the impact of conflicts among the teachers at SMAN 1 in Majene, (4) handling of conflict among the teachers at SMAN 1 in Majene. This study was a qualitative research which employed qualitative descriptive design. On the process of this study, the research subject, such as the behavior, percepetion, motivation, action and other phenomenon holistically and descriptively in forms of word in a language in a specific context which was natural and by utilizing various scientific methods. The data sources were obtained from several informants; those were six teacher of SMAN 1 in Majene as primary data and three students assecondary data. The result of the study revealed that (1) the forms of conflict among the teachers at SMAN 1 in Majene were personal conflict and interpersonal conflict with groups, (2) factors which caused the conflict among the teachers were the internal and external factors, (3) the impact of conflicts were the existence of positive and negative impact to members of school and the school itself, and (4) the conflict management conducted to overcome the conflict among the teacher has not fully conducted well and effectively according to the teacher and the principal.
