Abstract

ABSTRAK RUSDI. Penerapan Teknik Bermain Peran (Role Playing) Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Komunikasi Interpersonal Siswa SMP Negeri 2 Balusu Kabupaten Barru (dibimbing oleh Purwaka Hadi dan Abdul Saman). Kehidupan manusia tidak bisa terlepas dari orang lain, karena pada dasarnya kedudukan manusia adalah sebagai makhluk individu dan makhluk sosial. Sebagai makhluk sosial, manusia memiliki kemampuan untuk berinteraksi secara sosial dengan orang lain dalam berbagai kebutuhan dalam hidupnya.Salah satu syarat terjadinya interaksi sosial adalah terjadinya komunikasi (communication). Setiap hari manusia membutuhkan komunikasi dengan orang lain yang disebut dengan komunikasi interpersonal (interpersonal communication) untuk berbagai kepentingan dalam hidupnya. Mengingat pentingnya keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal bagi siswa dalam meningkatkan hubungan sosial dan prestasi siswa baik akademik maupun non akademik, maka masalah-masalah siswa yang terkait dengan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal yang rendah perlu mendapat perhatian untuk diberikan bantuan dengan suatu proses bimbingan yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal siswa. Oleh karena itu rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah (i) Bagaimanakah gambaran kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal siswa sebelum dan setelah diberikan teknik bermain peran (role playing) di SMP Negeri 2 Balusu Kabupaten Barru? (ii) Apakah teknik bermain peran (role playing) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal siswa di SMP Negeri 2 Balusu Kabupaten Barru? Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (i) untuk mengetahui gambaran kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal siswa sebelum dan setelah diberikan teknik bermain peran (role playing) di SMP Negeri 2 Balusu Kabupaten Barru; (ii) untuk mengetahui apakah teknik bermain peran (role playing) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal siswa di SMP Negeri 2 Balusu Kabupaten Barru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen yang akan mengkaji tentang teknik bermain peran (role playing) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal siswa di SMP Negeri 2 Balusu Kabupaten Barru. Desain penelitian ini yakni eksperimen yang digunakan adalah Pre-Experimental desingn, jenis desain One-Group Pretest-Posttest Designs. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (i) gambaran tingkat kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal siswa di SMP Negeri 2 Balusu Kabupaten Barru sebelum diberikan perlakuan berupa teknik bermain peran (role playing) berada pada kategori rendah, setelah diberikan perlakuan berada pada kategori sangat tinggi; (ii) penerapan teknik bermain peran (role playing) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal siswa di SMP Negeri 2 Balusu Kabupaten Barru. ABSTRACT RUSDI. Implementation techniques role playing to improve interpersonal communication skill of students of junior high school in country 2 Balusu Barru Regency. (Supervisor by Purwaka Hadi and Abdul Saman) Human life cannot be detached from other, because basically the position of human beings is as an indivudual and social beings. As social being, humans have the ability to interact socially with others in various needs in his life. One of the conditions of social interaction is the occurrence of communication. The human need daily communication with others communication interpersonal called with for a variety of interests in her life. Bearing in mind the importance of interpersonal communication skills for students in social relationships and enhance student achievement both academic and non academic, the a student issues related to low interpersonal skills communications need to get attention to be given help by a process guidance than can enhance interpersonal communication skills of student. Therefore this study in the problem formulation is (i) how would description interpersonal communication students before and after the given techniques role playing in junior high school 2 Balusu Barru Regency?, (ii) whether the techniques role palying of interpersonal communication skills can increase the student in junior high school 2 Balusu Barru Regency? The purpose of this study was to determine (i) to know the description of interpersonal communication student before and after given techniques role playing in junior high school 2 Balusu Barru Regency, (ii) to know if the technique of role palying of interpersonal communication skill can increase the student in junior high school 2 Balusu Barru Regency. This research uses the kuatitatif approach with the types of research experiments will examine about role playing techniques can enhance interpersonal communication ability student of junior high school 2 Balusu Barru Regency. The design of this research that experiment in use is the pre exprimental design, types design one group pretest-posttest design. The result showed that (1) the description of the level of interpersonal communication ability student of junior high school 2 Balusu Barru Regency before given preferential treatment in the from of techniques role playing is at a low category, having given treatment are very high in the category, (ii) the application of the technique of role playing can enhance interpersonal communication ability student of junior high school 2 Balusu Barru Regency.
