Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom Action Research) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe numbered heads together dengan strategi guided note taking pada siswa kelas VIIa SMP Neg. 2 Mengkendek Tana Toraja semester genap tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 20 orang siswa. Siklus I dilaksanakan sebanyak 3 kali pertemuan dan siklus II dilaksanakan sebanyak 3 kali pertemuan. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes hasil belajar matematika, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, lembar observasi aktivitas guru, dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Selanjutnya data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan analisis kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I banyaknya siswa dengan hasil tes belajar matematika mencapai KKM matematika yang telah ditetapkan sekolah adalah 10 orang siswa atau 50% dengan mean 70.05, sedangkan pada siklus II banyaknya siswa dengan tes hasil belajar matematika mencapai KKM matematika yang telah ditetapkan di sekolah adalah 20 orang siswa atau 100% dengan mean 90.495. Hasil observasi kegiatan proses belajar matematika menunjukkan adanya perubahan sikap siswa antara lain siswa yang belum mengerti sudah mulai bertanya kepada teman kelompoknya atau gurunya begitu pula siswa yang sudah mengerti dengan tulus memberikan bimbingan kepada temannya sampai mengerti, siswa yang mengajukan diri mengerjakan soal di papan tulis sudah meningkat, motivasi siswa untuk belajar sudah meningkat, keaktifan siswa bertanya pada waktu pembelajaran berlangsung, keberanian dan rasa percaya diri siswa untuk mengajukan diri mengerjakan soal di papan tulis, rasa percaya diri siswa dalam mengerjakan soal LKS yang dibagikan guru peneliti, dan keaktifan siswa ketika diskusi kelompok. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika mengalami peningkatan selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung setelah diterapkan pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Numbered Heads Together dengan strategi Guided Note Taking. This study is a classroom action research aiming at improving mathematics learning outcomes through the application of cooperative learning type numbered heads together combined with guided note taking strategy. The study was conducted to 20 students of Grade VIIa Junior High School 2 Mengkendek, Tana Toraja, in the second semester of the academic year 2014/2015. The first cycle was held in 3 meeting as well as the second cycle. Data were collected through tests of learning achievements, observation sheets for students’ activity, observation sheets for teacher’s activity and observation sheets about the completeness of the learning implementation. The data gathered were then analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively. The result shows that in cycle 1, the number of students satisfying the required minimum standard were 10 students, or 50% of the total class, with mean score 70.05. Meanwhile, in the second cycle, the number of students satisfying the standard increased into 20 students or 100% of the students with mean score 90.495. Observations on the learning process showed changes in students’ affections, such as, being brave to ask other students if ones did not understand the lesson. The more capable students seemed to also sincerely help their friends until they could understand the lesson. The students were also considerably being more confident to work in front of the class. Students’ motivations to learn were increased. They got more involved both in the classroom and group discussion and also became more confident to work on the worksheets. These showed that the mathematics learning outcomes during the class during the implementation of cooperative learning type numbered heads together with guided note taking strategy has had a considerable improved.
