Abstract
The riskof population exposed criminality was the number of cases reported to the police agency. If The number of reportshowed a higher, then the amount of crime in the region was increasing. In this research, modeling criminality in the South Sulawesi with the dependent variable used is the rial of population exposed criminality.Modeling carried by the approach of area with the method of Spatial Autoregressive (SAR) and Spatial Error Model (SEM).The independent variable used was the population density, the number of poor population, GDP per capita, unemployment and the Human Development Index (HDI).Based on the analysis with spatial autoregressive (SAR) and Spatial Error Model (SEM) showed that there are no dependencies spatial lag and a variable risk of error in the population exposed to criminality. The independent variables were significant at 10% on Spatial Autoregressive (SAR) is the population density, the number of poor and GDP per capita to the value of R2 = 86.5%.While on Spatial Error Model (SEM) is the population density, the number of poor population, GDP per capita and the number of unemployed with R2 = 90.1%. Keywords: risk of population exposed criminality, SAR, SEM.
