Abstract

The purposes of this research are to discover (1) the description of emotional intelligence of class XI IPA students at Public Senior High Schools in Bulukumba district, (2) the description of learning discipline of class XI IPA students at Public Senior High Schools in Bulukumba district, (3) the description of learning result of physics subject of class XI IPA students at Public Senior High Schools in Bulukumba district, (4) the positive correlation betwen emotional intelligence and learning result of physics subject of class XI IPA students at Public Senior High Schools in Bulukumba district, (5) the positive correlation betwen learning discipline and learning result of physics subject of class XI IPA students at Public Senior High Schools in Bulukumba district, (6) the positive correlation betwen emotional intelligence and learning discipline toward the learning result of physics subject of class XI IPA students at Public Senior High Schools in Bulukumba district. The type of this research is ex-post facto with causality characteristics. The population was the class XI IPA students of Public Senior High Schools in Bulukumba district of academic year 2014/2015 obtained by using area proportional random sampling. The results of this research reveal that : (1) the emotional intelligence of class XI IPA students at Public Senior High Schools in Bulukumba district is in high category; (2) the learning discipline of class XI IPA students at Public Senior High Schools in Bulukumba district is in high category; (3) the learning result of physics subject of class XI IPA students at Public Senior High Schools in Bulukumba district is in medium category; (4) there are positive correlations betwen emotional intelligence and learning result of Physics subject of class XI IPA students at Public Senior High Schools in Bulukumba district by 0.526; (5) there are positive correlations betwen learning discipline and learning result of Physics subject of class XI IPA students at Public Senior High Schools in Bulukumba district by 0.516; (6) there are positive correlations betwen emotional intelligence and learning discipline toward learning result of Physics subject of class XI IPA students at Public Senior High Schools in Bulukumba district by 0.574.
