Abstract
ABSTRACT The study aims at examining (i) the students’ learning motivation taught by using NHT model, (ii) the students’ learning motivation taught by using TGT model, (iii) the students’ learning result taught by using NHT model, (iv) the students’ learning result taught by using TGT model, (v) the difference of students’ learning motivation taught by using NHT and TGT models, and (vi) the difference of students’ learning result taught by using NHT and TGT models. The study was quasi experiment. The population was the entire students of class VII at SMPN 5 South Sinjai in Sinjai district of academic year 2016/2017. The samples were taken by employing random sampling technique consisted of two study group from all six study group. Data were collected by employing learning motivation questionnaire and learning result test. Data were analyzed using t-test independent sample with SPSS version 20.0 program for windows. The results of the study reveal that (i) the students’ learning motivation who were taught by using NHT model is in high category, (ii) the students’ learning motivation who were taught by using TGT model is in high category, (iii) the students’ learning result who were taught using NHT model is in satisfactory category, (iv) the students’ learning result who were taught by using TGT model is in very good category, (v) there is a difference of learning motivation significantly between the students who were taught by using NHT model and the ones using TGT model, and (vi) there is a difference of learnig result significantly between the students who were taught by using NHT model and the ones using TGT model.
