Abstract

. (The Correlation Between Professional and Pedagogical Competence Of Certified Science Teachers With Motivation and Learning Outcomes Of Students Of SMPN Of Kabupaten Jeneponto) Sudarmiah Salinringi Abstract The study aimed at examining the correlation between professional competence and pedagogy competence of certified science teachers toward motivation and learning outcomes of students at SMPN in Jeneponto district. The study used quantitative approach with ex-post facto. Data were collected by using quistioinnaire and test. The result of the study revealed that the correlation between professional competence of certified science teacher and students learning motivation was r square = 0,832 and correlation between pedagogy competence of certified science teachers was r square = 0,682, meaning that professional that professional competence contributed to students learning motivation by 83,2%; whereas, pedagogy compotence contributed to students learning motivation by 68,2%. The correlation between professional competence of certifed science teahers and students learning outcomes was r square = 0,878 and the correlation between pedagogy competence of certified science teachers students learning outcomes was r square = 0,769, meaning that proffesional competence contributed to students’ learning outcomes by 87,8%; whereas pedagogy competence of certified science teacher was 76,9%. The correlation between professional of competence and pedagogy competence of certified science teachers toward learning motivation was r square = 0,878 and 0,784; whereas the correlation between professional competence and pedagogy competence of certified science teachers toward learning outcomes was r square = 0,878 and 0,769. The conclusion of the study was there was corelation between professional competence and pedagogy competence of certified science teachers toward student’ learning motivation and students’ learning outcomes at SMPN in Jeneponto district.
