ABSTRACT SR1 WAHYUNI. Development of Linear Equations System Tes of Two Variables Based on Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy to Measure High Level Thinking Skills of VIII Grade Students of SMPN SungguminasaGowa (supervised by Ruslan and Asdar). High-level thinking skills based on a revised Bloom’s taxonomy is a skill that involves the analysis, evaluation, and creating combined with dimensions of factual, knowledge, conceptual, and procedural. This is a research and Development study, which aims to generate Linear Equations test systems of two variables based on a revised qualified Bloom’s taxonomy to measure high-level thinking skills of VIII grade students of SMPN 4 SungguminasaGowa. The subject were VIII grade students of SMPN 4 Sungguminasagowa about 117 people consisted of 80 women and 37 men. This research adopt the design development of formative research by Tesmer comprising the step of preliminary, namely the determination of the place and the subject of research, phase of self-evalution that is identifying yhe mathematics learning material, knowing the number of students and the information that the students have not received and do the higher level thinking items, and preparation of design descriptive items of high-level thinking and stages of formative evalution ( expert review,evalution of one to one, small group evalution, and field test ) The result showed that the test instrument system of linear equation of two variables based on the developed revised Bloom‘s taxonomy that is qualified in terms of valid, reliable, and has the potential effect of high-level thinking skills test that can be completed by students in accordance with the level of mathematical ability. High ability students can take the test of high capability to the level of creation; fair ability students were able to work on high-ability test to the level of evalution; and low-ability students are only able to work on high-ability test at level of analyzes.
