Abstract

This research examines strategies for maintaining the school image at SMA Negeri 1 Takalar. The aim of this research is to determine strategies for maintaining the school image at SMA Negeri 1 Takalar. This research uses a qualitative research approach, with descriptive research type. This research was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Takalar. The data sources in this research are the school principal, public relations department, and teachers. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data collection, data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data uses triangulation techniques. The research results show that: (1) An overview of strategies in maintaining the school's image is divided into 4 focuses, namely school participation in competition activities, building networks with parents and the community, having a good school accreditation rating, and improving academic and non�Article good communication with teaching and educational staff, as well as with parents and the community so that the school's image always improves. (2) Factors that support the strategy of maintaining the school's image are always maintaining good communication with students' parents or the community, by holding parent visits, or holding social services, while the inhibiting factor is that it is difficult to deal with problematic students because as we know, every Students have different behaviors or backgrounds.
