Abstract

This research is a research and development model from Alessi and Trollip which consists of 3 stages, specifically: 1) the planning, 2) the design, 3) the development. The product produced is a product of developing interactive multimedia-based teaching materials in Social Studies subjects Class V SD Inpres Bontonompo, Gowa Regency, this is motivated by several problems, namely the lack of variety of teaching materials, teaching materials are still in printed form, and students need interesting teaching materials in obtaining social studies subject matter. consequently, the solution that can be given is the need for renewal or innovation of teaching materials. When viewed from the availability of learning support tools, class V students already have cellphones or tablets and students are able to operate them. The validation results by media expert validators obtained an average score of 3.3. The score obtained from the material expert validator is 3.1. The results of the assessment by 19 fifth grade students obtained a score of 3.6. Meanwhile, the score obtained from the fifth grade homeroom teacher was 3.5. So it can be concluded that the product development of multimedia-based teaching materials interactive is categorized as very good and feasible to use.
