Abstract

This research is motivated by a probleam related to the number of children who have difficulty recognizing the symbols of number, especially class 1 in SDN NUNU, so it requires the use of media to develop childrens knowledge in recognizing the concept of numbers, namely the media card. This research is obtained trough observation and documentation. The aim of this research to find out how to develop children’s knowledge of numbers through the application of number card media in SDN NUNU. The research subjects were class 1 students, which consisted of 15 children. The data collection tools that the writer used were observations, interview, and documentaries. Based on the results of this research article, it can be concluded that number card media is effective in developing children’s knowledge in recognizing numbers in class 1 students SDN NUNU. The suggestion that the researcher gives is that it is better for students to use interesting media to increase children’s recognition of the symbols of number, then for school to provide facilities that support them to improve the recognition of number symbols to students.
