Abstract

This study aims, among others (1) to determine the contribution of hips back flexibility to smash open in volleyball games, (2) to determine the contribution of leg muscle explosive power to smash open in volleyball games, and (3) to determine the contribution between hips back flexibility and leg muscle explosive power against smash open in a volleyball game. This research is a type of descriptive quantitative research. The population of this study were all 40 male students of YPPP Wonomulyo Vocational High School. The data analysis technique used was correlation and regression analysis using the SPSS Version 21.00 system at a significant level of 95% or 0.05. Starting from the results of data analysis, this study concludes that: (1) The hips back flexibility contributes to smash open in volleyball games for YPPP Wonomulyo Vocational High School students by 41.7%, (2) The explosive power of the leg muscles contributes to smash open in volleyball games for YPPP Wonomulyo Vocational High School students by 67.8%, and (3) The hips back flexibility and the explosive power of the leg muscles contributed to the smash open in volleyball games for YPPP Wonomulyo Vocational High School students by 68.8%.
