Abstract

This research was pre experimental one group pretest-posttets design that the aimed to know the the effectivity of health education through peer group towards adolescents knowledge and attitude about reproductive health in Junior High School 3 Makassar. Independent variable in this research was health education through peer group, then dependent variable were adolescent’s knowledge and attitude about reproductive health. Population in this research was adolescent of Junior High School 3 Makassar, then the sample was extracurriculer group which are Student Council (OSIS) as many as 53 people and Youth Red Cross (PMR) as many as 49 people. The data analysis result was obtained by given pretest and posttest of objective test and questionnaire about repoductive health. The analysis technique by gain normalized analysis and t-test one sample. Based on inferential statistic showed that p value = 0,000 < α = 0,05. So, the conclusion that health education by peer group is effective to increase the adolescent’s knowledge and attitude about reproductive health in Junior High School 3 Makassar.
