Abstract

The present study explores the use of smartphone application in learning language during the Covid-19 pandemic. The participants were from Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program, Faculty of Languages and Literature State University of Makassar, Indonesia who attended full online classes in the amidst Covid-19 pandemic. The students were from the second, forth, and sixth semester. The study concludes that the smartphone can enhance the students’ language skills. Other evidences are: the smartphone can toil students’ writing skill, smartphone can develop the students’ language skills, and smartphone can improve students’ listening skills.
