Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe teacher motivation factors in primary schools in Bone district, to find out whether motivating factors had an effect simultaneously or partially on teacher performance in primary schools in Bone district and motivation factors that had the strongest impact on teacher performance in primary schools in districts Bone. Variables used in this research are motivation factor is independent variable (X) and teacher performance is dependent variable (Y). Factors of motivation studied are physiological needs, security needs, social needs, reward needs and self actualization needs. The performance of the teachers studied is to prepare the teaching program, implement the teaching program, conduct evaluation and follow up the evaluation result. This study uses data collection techniques with questionnaires. The population is 457 people. Data analysis shows descriptive analysis of scale range describes teacher's motivation and performance factor, inductive analysis of multiple linear regression. To know the influence between independent variable with dependent variable and hypothesis test with F test and t test respectively for simultaneous test and partial test. the results showed that teacher motivation factors and teacher performance have a fairly good scale range. Motivation factor variable simultaneously have a significant effect on teacher performance variables and positive value of influence of 64.10% while the rest of 35.90% influenced by factors outside the motivation factor. While partially variable of teacher motivation factor have a significant effect to teacher performance variable with t value of physiology requirement 3,316, security need 2,229, social requirement 2,360, reward requirement 2,234, and self actualization requirement 2,571 while t table at significant level 0.05 shows the value of 2,001, based on the magnitude of the influence of variable factors of motivation on teacher performance variables, it turns out the physiological factor motivation variable has the strongest influence with the value of beta coefficient of 0.301 compared with other motivation factor variables.
