Abstract
his study examines the initial writing ability of Class III spastic type Cerebral Palsy students at SLB YPAC Makassar. The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) the initial writing ability of students with cerebral palsy before using kinetic sand media, 2) the initial writing ability of students in the process of using kinetic sand media, 3) the initial writing ability of spastic cerebral palsy type III students in SLB YPAC Makassar after using kinetic sand media. This research approach is a quantitative approach to the type of descriptive research. The subjects in this study were students of class III spastic cerebral palsy at SLB YPAC Makassar with the initials A. The data collection technique used was a written test. The conclusions of this study were 1) the initial writing ability of class III spastic cerebral palsy students at SLB YPAC Makassar before the use of kinetic sand media was categorized as poor 2) the initial writing ability of class III spastic cerebral palsy students at SLB YPAC Makassar after use Kinetic sand media is in the capable category. 3) the use of kinetic sand media can improve the initial writing ability of class III spastic cerebral palsy students at SLB YPAC Makassar Keywords: Start Writing, Cerebral Palsy, Kinetic .
