Abstract

This article aims to examine aspects of knowledge transfer in the perspective of informal economy education through the SECI Nonaka model and examine the revitalization process of silk fabric products in the development of modern fashion-based products. This study uses qualitative methods by using data collection methods such as observation, interviews and documentation of the research object. Data analysis was carried out by data reduction, data exposure, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of knowledge transfer is (1) the creation of new knowledge and innovations such as modification of motifs and diversification of silk products which are the result of the successful conversion process of the four stages of knowledge transfer. (2) providing reforms that refer to modern-based changes for the development of the silk industry in Wajo Regency by communicating the philosophical values of silk fabrics through silk fabric application products to revitalize and maintain the resilience of the existence of silk fabrics.
