ABSTRAK . Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) untuk memperoleh gambaran pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMK Negeri 1 Sulawesi Selatan, (2) untuk mengetahui gambaran pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMK Negeri 1 Sulawesi Selatan, (3) untuk menggambarkan model pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam berbasis Mind mapping yang valid, praktis dan menarik, dan (4) untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam berbasis Mind mapping. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Model penelitain pengembangan yang dipilih adalah model yang dikembangkan oleh Borg dan Gall. Tahapan penelitian terdiri tiga tahap yaitu: (1) Tahap penelitian pendahuluan, yang merupakan kegiatan research and information collecting memiliki dua kegiatan utama, yaitu studi literature dan studi lapangan. (2) Tahap pengembangan model adalah gabungan dari tahap planning and development of the preliminary from of product. Tahap-tahap pengembangan model pembelajaran Mind Mapping secara rinci mencakup beberapa kegiatan yaitu menyusun desain awal model, validari ahli, pengujian model tersebut, pengujian model lebih luas, dan revisi utama model. (3) Tahap evaluasi produk yaitu uji efektifitas model menggunakan quasi experimental design dengan rancangan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini dilakukan di SMK Negeri 1 Sulawesi Selatan. Analisis data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian adalah meliputi: analisis data pada tahap studi pendahuluan, analisis data pada tahap pengembangan model, dan analisis data pada tahap evaluasi model. Analisis uji efektivitas model menggunakan uji-t pre-test dan post-test hasil belajar. Dari hasil penelitian dan pengembangan dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Berdasarkan temuan penelitian di SMK Negri 1 Sulawesi Selatan dieproleh bahwa masalah mendasar yang perlu dicari solusi adalah model pembelajaran model ceramah dan pemberian tugas mencatat dapat menimbulkan rasa jenuh terhadap mata pelajaran pendidikan Agama Islam. (2) Pengembangan model pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam berbasis Mind Mapping: validasi dengan kategori cukup valid, dari segi Kepraktisan sangat baik dan darisegi kemenarikan dengan katergori sangat baik. (3) Uji efektifitas model dilakukan melalui penelitian kuasi eksperimen hasil Uji-t pada skor pada Post-Test menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan kognitif antara kelas kontrol dengan kelas eksperimen dengan demikian pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) menunjukkan efektif dan baik dari penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis Mind Mapping dapat digunakan pada SMK 1 Sulawesi Selatan. Learning Model Development of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Based Mind Mapping to Improve Learning Result of Students in SMK (supervised by Promoter Bahri Syamsul Talib and Copromoter Abdullah Sinring). The research aims: (1) to obtain learning description of Islamic Religious Education at SMK Negeri 1 South of Sulawesi, (2) to know the description of Islamic Religious Education in SMK Negeri 1 South of Sulawesi, (3) to determine the learning model of Islamic Education based Mind mapping which is valid, practical and attractive, and (4) to determine the effectiveness of the learning model of Islamic Education based Mind Mapping. The research used the approach of research and development (Research and Development). The researcher used the model of research development by Borg and Gall. The stages of research consist of three phases: (1) The phase of introduction, which is an activity of research and collecting information with two main activities, namely the study of literature and field studies. (2) The phase of model development which is a combination of planning and development of the preliminary from of product. The phase of learning model development based Mind Mapping including making of model design, validity experts, testing the model, testing the model more widely, and model revision. (3) The phase of product evaluation including the test of effectiveness model using a quasi-experimental design with draft Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research and development was conducted in SMK Negeri 1 of South Sulawesi. Data analysis used in this research including data analysis of the stage of introduction, data analysis of model development and data analysis of model evaluation. The analysis of model effectiveness test used T-test pre-test and post-test of learning outcomes. Based on the results of research and development in SMK Negeri 1 Makassar, it can be concluded that: (1) The basic problem of learning is the learning models such as speech and hand writing exercise that cause the problem of boredom of student toward the subject of Islamic Religious Education. (2) The development of the learning model of Islamic Religious Education based Mind mapping, validation by category is valid in terms of excellent practicality and attractiveness. (3) The test of model effectiveness was conducted by research of a quasi-experimental. The result of T-Test showed that there are difference knowledge between control class and experiment class. Therefore, the implementation of learning model based mind mapping shows effectiveness to the learning of Islamic Religious Education.
