Abstract
This study examines the role of teacher leadership at Laniang Makassar Vocational School including being a model figure, directing students, motivating students, inspiring students, negotiating students, and carrying out changes. The purpose of this study is to find out how the teacher's leadership is in increasing student learning motivation. This research approach is qualitative with the type of research description. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. The data source of this research is teachers, deputy principals, and students at Laniang Makassar Vocational School with 4 teachers, 1 Deputy Principal, and 1 student. Data analysis techniques using the Miles and Huberman models. In checking the validity of researchers' data using triangulation techniques. The results showed that the role of teacher leadership in Laniang Makassar Vocational School is able to become a role model, able to direct students to the learning process, motivate students, help students solve problems faced by students, creating interesting learning and able to utilize advanced technology in accordance with changes and changes and current development
