Abstract

This research is a quasi-experimental research that aims to describe the ability to recognize the concept of numbers before using number cards using used materials in Pembina Benteng State Kindergarten, to describe the ability to recognize number concepts after using number cards using used materials at Pembina Benteng State Kindergarten,. The research approach used is a quantitative approach with a Quasi Experiment Design type of research. The population in this study was group B in Pembina Benteng State Kindergarten. Sampling in this study is purposive sampling. The sample in this study were 12 children, 6 children as the experimental group and 6 children as the control group. Data collection techniques used were descriptive statistical analysis and nonparametric statistical analysis. The results of data analysis obtained by Asym (2-taled) = = 0,026 ≤ 0,05 so that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected, meaning that the ability to recognize children's number concepts in the experimental group is more increased than in the control group, this shows the effect of using number cards using used materials on the ability to recognize number concept.
