Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of par enting acti vities on parents’ understanding of balance nutritious food in Taman Seminari Sant a Theresia Tobadak ParkKingdergarten. Theresearch approach used is a quantitati ve approach wit h a type of Pre-Experimental Design Research. The population in this study was all parents of children had children aged 4-6 yearsin the Kindergarten of Santa Theresi a Tobadak Semi nari Park. The sampling in this study was purposi ve Sampling. The sampl e in the study was 10 mothers. The data coll ection techni quesused are descripti ve statistical analysis and non-parametric statistical analysis. This research was carried out by disseminati ng and filling out questionnaire sheets or questionnai res. Basedon the results of the study, it can be concluded t hat the understandi ng of mother after bei ng gi ven treatment has increased, where the average maternal knowledge i n the pretest is 12.30, and after being gi ven treatment it increases to 17.50. the test results show the sig value. (2-tailed) maternal knowledge 0,005 <0,05, then H0 is rej ected and H1 is accepted. So it can beconcluded that parenting acti vities have a signi ficant infl uence on mother understandi ng of balanced nutritious food in Taman Seminari Santa TheresiaTobadak Kindergarten.
