Abstract

Abstract The Single Tuition Policy (UKT) is a new policy of education in Indonesia purpose to reduce the cost of education, especially at State Universities (PTN). The UKT grouped in 8, group 1 with the lowest UKT costs and group 8 is the highest UKT costs. Each group has their own percentage for the number of recipients in the UKT group. So many students want to apply for relief because the UKT fees they have already received do not match the family economy. In determining UKT, several university in Makassar use the interview method. The large number of new students interviewed to determine the UKT then affects the level of fatigue of the interviewer and also affects the decisions taken are no longer objective, so we need a Decision Support System (SPK) to help deal with the problem. The system will select each alternative using eight criteria, namely; guardian income, water bills, electricity bills, land and building tax, total dependents, car ownership, motorcycle ownership and telephone bills. The results it was found that the system of determining the single tuition policy in group can provide consideration in determining UKT groups and can help reduce subjectivity in determining UKT groups of New Student Candidates.
