Email: andimusdalifah89@gmail.com Graduate Program, State University of Makassar (UNM), Indonesia ABSTRACT The objective of the research was to get a descriptive account of the syllabus and its implementation in the teaching of English at Nursery Academy in Watampone. This research applied descriptive evaluative research taking three English lecturers, director and thirty students of the fifth semester at Nursery Academy in Watampone. The data were collected through observation, interview, questionnaire, documentation and tests. The results of data analysis showed that the syllabus at Nursery Academy of Bataritoja has not met the characteristics of a good syllabus yet. They were not also well implemented in teaching-learning process since they did not cover the essential parts of syllabus. The researcher concludes that the syllabus is to revised and revitalized its curriculum based on the real needs of the students. Keywords: implementation, syllabus
