ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan: (i) Untuk mengetahui pengaruh perhatian orang tua terhadap prestasi belajar IPS siswa di SDN Minasa Upa Kota Makassar. (ii) Untuk mengetahui pengaruh minat belajar terhadap prestasi belajar IPS siswa di SDN Minasa Upa Kota Makassar. (iii) Untuk mengetahui pengaruh perhatian orang tua dan minat belajar terhadap prestasi belajar IPS siswa di SDN Minasa Upa Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan expost facto dengan pendekatan asosiatif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini siswa kelas III, IV dan V SDN Minasa Upa Kota Makassar yang berjumlah 18 siswa dan 18 orang tua (ibu) siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampelnya adalah dengan proporsional random sampling yang mana setiap bagian ditarik sampel sebesar 50%. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui kuisioner, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama, terdapat pengaruh positif antara perhatian orang tua dengan prestasi belajar IPS siswa kelas III, IV dan V di SDN Minasa Upa Kota Makassar. Kedua, hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif antara minat belajar dengan prestasi belajar IPS siswa kelas III, IV dan V di SDN Minasa Upa Kota Makassar. Ketiga, terdapat pengaruh positif secara bersama - sama antara perhatian orang tua dan minat belajar dengan prestasi belajar IPS siswa kelas III, IV, dan V di SDN Minasa Upa Kota Makassar. Kata Kunci : perhatian orang tua, minat belajar, pretasi belajar IPS siswa ABSTRAC This objective of this study were: (i) To determine whether the attention of parents affects the social studies achievement of students at SDN Minasa Upa Makassar. (ii) To determine whether the learning interest affects the social studies achievement of students at SDN Minasa Upa Makassar. (iii) To determine whether the attention of parents and learning interest affect the social studies learning achievements of students at SDN Minasa Upa Makassar. This research applied the expose facto by associative quantitative approach. Population of the research were students on the third, fourth, and fifth grade at SDN Minasa Upa, Makassar which consisted of 18 students and 18 parents (mother) of students. Sample were taken through proportional random sampling, which include 50% of each population. Data of the research were collected through questionnaire, interview, and documentation. The result of the research indicates that there are positive influence between parental attention on students’ learning achievement of social studies at SDN Minasa Upa, Makassar; the result also shows that there are positive influence between students’ learning interest and their learning achievement of social studies; and there are also simultaneous positive influence between parental attention and stidents learnin interest toward their learning achievement of social studies on the third, fourth, and fifth grade at SDN Minasa Upa, Makassar.
