Abstract
The focus of the research in this research is to know the description of the implementation of character education values in SMP Negeri 2 Barombong. This study aims to describe the character values of students in SMP Negeri 2 Barombong. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive research type.The results showed that the values of character education in SMP Negeri 2 Barombong, among others, the value of religious characters that apply to students reading the Qur'an 15 minutes. One of the values of nationalist character here is speaking well and politely, both at school and outside of school. Value the character of self-discipline and come on time to school. The value of the gotong royong character in implementing the clean Saturday program. The value of the character of integrity instills an attitude of honesty and responsibility to students. The inhibiting factor is that some parents have not gotten used to character education applied in schools and factors that support the implementation of character education values at SMP Negeri 2 Barombong, namely being supported by a friendly and cool school environment, motivation in students, and parents.
