Abstract

The focus of the research in this study is how the pattern of mentoring the learning process from home for students during the COVID-19 pandemic in the village of Sisango. This study aims to describe how the pattern of mentoring is carried out in the learning process from home for fourth grade students during the covid-19 pandemic in the sisango hamlet. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. This research was conducted in the hamlet of Sisango, Papalang District, Mamuju Regency. This study analyzes the pattern of mentoring carried out by parents in the learning process from home during the covid-19 pandemic. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students, parents, and homeroom teachers. Data collected method observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by presenting research data. The results showed that the learning process from home had been implemented in the village of Sisango but in practice it was not optimal because the teacher only gave assignments to students, which often students still did not understand the task. The pattern of parental assistance for grade IV students during this pandemic has been carried out, but it is still not optimal, this is due to the lack of time for parents to accompany their children intensely due to being busy at work, as well as various other forms of obstacles experienced by parents in accompanying their children during this period. covid-19 pandemic.
