Abstract

The purpose of the study is to discover the description of the implementation of learning, the description of problem solving skills, and the influence of the implementation of experiencebased learning on the problem solving skills of the students of SD Inpres 10/73 Padaelo in Mare subdistrict in Bone district. This study employed a quasi-experimental research type. The study used a quasi-experimental because it had a control group and an experimental group, and the groups were not selected randomly. The design of the study was the non-equivalent control group design. In the design, there were two classes drawn to determine which class was the experimental class and the control class. The questionnaire for the measurements was given after the end of the treatment. Problem solving skills prior to the implementation of experiential-based learning can be seen from the results of the control and experimental class pre-tests. The control class has the highest score with 77, the lowest score is 65, the average is 71, which indicates that the control class score is still below the KKM and the standard deviation is 3.73. Meanwhile, in the experimental class, the highest score is 79, the lowest score is 63, and the average is 70, which indicates that the experimental class value is still below the KKM and the standard deviation is 4.69. After the implementation of experiential learning in the experimental class and conventional learning in the control class, the control class obtained the highest score with 90, the lowest score is 72, and the average is 78 which indicates that the control class score is still in the moderate category and the standard deviation is 4.07. Meanwhile, the highest score for the experimental class is 93, the lowest value is 76, the average is 85, which indicates that the experimental class value is in high category and the standard deviation is 4.90. Based on the aforementioned data, it is discovered that there is an increase in problem solving after experiential-based learning. Based on the results of the t test (paired sample test), it is discovered that the correlation value is 0.661 with a significance value (sig) of 0.02. The Sig value 0.02 < probability value 0.05 indicating there is a relationship between the pre-test and post-test variables and the Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.03 < 0.05. Based on the results of the calculation of the N-Gain Score test, it can be seen that the average value of the N-Gain Score for the experimental class is 51.33. It shows that the influence of experiential learning is in the moderate category. Keywords: Implementation of Experience-Based Learning Model, Problem Solving
